My life motto is Psalm 37:4, Delight yourself in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart.
I want to honor Christ with the life He has given me, and hear Him say “well done good and faithful servant” when I come before His throne. I hope this blog will be a useful resource for your Christian life.
I am a registered nurse and by God’s grace I hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing with high honors. I am also an author of two published books, an artist, runner, naturalista and musician. In short, I have a lot of hobbies that keep me busy. I have been blogging here since 2010.
I have been a missionary for more than 15 years, serving both in Eastern Europe and locally in the USA alongside my parents and siblings. I am a pastor’s daughter and I am grateful for the heritage of grace that my parents have received from their walk with Lord and passed on to me through Biblical teaching, and which I want to pass on to others.
Brief Statement of Faith:
- Soli Deo Gloria – God alone is to be glorified.
- Solus Christus – Man is saved only through Jesus Christ.
- Sola Gratia – Salvation is an act of God’s free grace alone.
- Sola Fide – Salvation is through faith alone, not by any works of our own.
- Sola Scriptura – God’s infallible Word the Bible, contains all knowledge necessary for life, salvation and holiness.
I hold to the pre-mil, pre-trib eschatology.
In Christ alone,
Rebekah

I love your blog! We have so much in common. I love music and running too! It is wonderful to see others living for Jesus and sharing His word unashamed. God bless!
Hi Kloe,
It was such a nice surprise to see your comments in my inbox this morning! I’m glad you found my blog, and by checking out yours I can see we do have quite a few things in common. Keep in touch!
Rebekah
Hey Rebekah,
I just discovered your blog! Love the name, and looking forward to exploring soon!
Blessings, RHoda
Hi Rhoda,
I’m excited that you took the time to explore my little corner of the web! I would love to know how you came across my blog. Nice hearing from you.
Rebekah
Well… I did a little History searching to aid my memory 🙂 and remembered that I’d been at http://hisprincesswarrior.blogspot.com/ and clicked most of the blog buttons on her sidebar! Not sure how I got there! I’m adding your blog button to my site!
Growing up in Oamaru, I’ve always been interested in heritage, and as a Christian, I’m of course interested in grace! Put them together, and – well – it sounds great!
Rhoda
P.S. I notice that my last comment was posted at 2:41am. Well, I live in New Zealand, and it wasn’t that late! 🙂
Thanks for the kind comment on my blog name, I also liked the idea of a heritage and what that implies not only in our earthly life but also in our spiritual life. Should I understand from your comment that you’re a history buff 🙂 I already saw you’re a bookworm by reading your “about me” page, so usually those two go together.
Great hearing from you,
Rebekah
History buff, no. Delight-er-in-heritage, yes! 🙂
Rhoda
Hi Rebekah, we are delighted to let you know that we have awarded your lovely sister, Jessica with the mydearbakes “I’m a Baking Enthusiast” award! =D
I am glad you made your own blog for teenage girls and to find out more about the Lord. Psalms 37:4 is one of my favorite verses, but a verse that’s really special to me from the Bible is Phillipians 4:13 ” I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me.” This is my favorite verse because when I feel like I’m failing or can’t reach my goal, it reminds me there is always somebody there who strengthens me.
