Little Britches, Father and I were Ranchers

That is the title of the book I am currently reading (or trying to read in-between my schoolwork). The author writes about his life as a boy sometime in 1906 when he and his family moved to Colorado and they started life from scratch and started ranching. It’s the first in a series of books about his life on a ranch.

I just borrowed the book from the library. I thought it would be interesting because I read a snippet of the story in a Bob Jones reading book curriculum that we had (or was it Pensacola Christian College?) which are conservative colleges. I am thinking it’s somewhat similar to the Caddie Woodlawn book but a “boy” version of it. 🙂

Otherwise, I am still swamped with studying. I have an exam on Monday that I really have to study for. I would have posted about many other things but time simply slips away, and if I were to post on my devotions I wouldn’t want them to be superficial posts or not well written…because it takes time to really talk about the Word.

What new books have you been reading lately? Your textbooks? 😉 So have I.

I’d love to hear from all of you- even from silent subscribers too!

  1. What have I been reading? A textbook on art history. Exciting? Yeah, you’re right–not so much =)

I can certainly relate to you, Becky…very busy with schoolwork these days. *one day* I’m gonna get around to answer your email. It totally brightned my day to get your email and I’m looking forward to replying. I want to tell you all about school and the graphic design class, as well as all the other things that are going on.

    Blessings, Becky!

  2. It sounds like a good book! I think I’ve heard of it before, but I’ll have to add it to my reading list 🙂

I completely understand what you mean about not having time to post about all the other things that you would like to. It seems like an all too common occurrence for me!

    In Christ,
    Rebekah
