I am currently…
LISTENING to this lovely sacred music CD by R.C. Sproul. I got it at a good price of $8.00 at a church bookstore! You can find it available as MP3 download for the same price too- but I like the hard copy with the words better. I’ve played it in the car several times through. Yes I’m that type of person.
THINKING about a blog name change, and transferring to a “.com” My mind has been brewing with plans for this blog (accompanied by prayers), so you may see some changes coming up on the blog soon…hopefully. If I find a domain name that is. #hardesthingever
WISHING I had more time to dedicate to my drawing and writing projects. #somuchtodo #solittletime
WATCHING uh, the weather? Yeah. One day it’s cloudy and nearly raining, the next its sunny. No joke.
DRINKING refreshing summer drinks like sparkling water and home-made lemonade. And hot cocoa basically every morning.
SMELLING pasta sauce and ground meat with spaghetti that my mom is cooking for lunch. Mmm mmm!
LEARNING a new melody for the hymn “And Can It Be”. And truths from Scripture every day. A verse from the book of Romans encouraged me recently and said: Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13)
TASTING delightful summer fruits. Blueberries, strawberries, grapes and…fruits!
READING the memoir Story of a Secret State, a WWII account from a Polish resistance fighter and spy. How would I describe it?#ontheedgeofyourseat
DREAMING of a planned road trip sometime this summer! I almost can’t believe I get to travel this year, Lord willing. It’s a little dream come true because I haven’t been traveling for about 4 years. #thatsalongtime
WORKING on summer school classes, and other projects, like crafts. One day soon even on #changingthecarbrakes
Lately I’ve been…
Starting my next course of study
Reading the letters of Henry and Marianne Williams, early missionaries to New Zealand
Right now I am…
Drinking hot cinnamon, ginger and honey
Rejoicing in the box of books which has just arrived from Ligonier
Listening to my brothers not doing their lessons 🙂
Ha, ha! The last one was quite amusing 🙂 Thanks for sharing a snippet of what you’ve been doing! I can only imagine how exciting it is to receive a box of books! It’s a treat via snail mail that I always love.
The letters of the Williams sounds interesting! Is there a specific book about their endeavors? Have you ever heard about Adoniram Judson, a missionary in the 1700-1800s to Burma?
There are biographies of the Williamses, and they’re mentioned or included in books about New Zealand history. I don’t know of any particular books though.
The books of their letters are both edited by Caroline Fitzgerald, one of their descendants. They are called “Te Wiremu – Henry Williams: Early years in the north” and “Letters from the Bay of Islands” which is Marianne’s letters.
I think I have heard of Adoniram Judson, but don’t remember reading a book about him. I don’t think we have any in our library.
