Scripture tells us that in the last days there will be mockers and insolent men who disregard the truth. We see them all over the media and in liberal camps around the world. But there are mockers right next to you too.
They are present in churches, fellowship groups, Bible studies. They may be active in church activities and seem dedicated Christians, popular leaders, popular pastors or sunday school teachers with apparent charisma; but when they are confronted with truth or challenged because their actions do not line up with Scripture, they will minimize, dismiss, ridicule and scorn. Whoever challenges them will be labeled as divisive, legalistic, judgmental, fanatical, delusional etc. You will know them by their fruit. God will judge mockers. Read the Psalm below carefully.
“Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take,
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.”
