Midweek Music XVII: Take No Thought For Tomorrow

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. {Matthew 6:34}

Originally, I planned to write a post with my thoughts, to share some things on my heart…but because of the recent events in the world, and because this song has been encouraging my and my family’s heart lately through the daily challenges of life- I thought I would share this song instead, and postpone my thoughts for later.

May this soothing Scripture Lullaby be a refreshing reminder throughout your day today!

What verses have encouraged you lately? What songs have refreshed your soul?

  1. Thanks so much for sharing this song.
    I have never heard of these CDs before, they are amazing! I love the idea of setting scripture to music, after all it is better than any poems or hymns we can ever write. I’m always looking out for Artists like this.
    I was recently meditating on the many times in the Bible where God tells us to be sober minded and was thinking about how so much of the so called “Christian” music would not leave the listener sober minded. This fits the bill.

    1. I am pleased to hear how much you enjoyed the song! It has become a favorite of mine as well, and I like a few others of the Scripture Lullabies. I found them one time randomly on youtube when I was looking for other songs. I totally agree that in churches today it is the case that many ignore and overlook what the Lord tells us to be sober minded, and they especially ignore it when it comes to music. It is quite difficult to find good reverent music that feeds the soul and sounds beautiful- which is part of the reason I started this midweek music series as well- to share the treasures I find! 🙂

      Thank you for the comment and for sharing your thoughts! I always enjoy that from readers! It’s like a true conversation
